Fly, fly thou winter bird
for ye the sign of liberation
And Aphrodite herself as opposed to the works of man,
growing more beautiful each day
I always thought it morally wrong
to lock you up in a cage
When your first, true and main desire
Was to boldly spread your beautiful wings
against the golden sun
And suddenly take off like fire
bravely, swiftly and steadily flying
Into eternity
for ye the sign of liberation
And Aphrodite herself as opposed to the works of man,
growing more beautiful each day
I always thought it morally wrong
to lock you up in a cage
When your first, true and main desire
Was to boldly spread your beautiful wings
against the golden sun
And suddenly take off like fire
bravely, swiftly and steadily flying
Into eternity
