LOVE
Your eyes sparkle like the sun glistening on water
Your lips are as beautiful as a lily in full bloom
Such beauty cannot be described by words
Such beauty surpasses Aphrodite herself
But alas pride is the downfall of man
And one day ye thought it apt to challenge Athena
Alas fair maiden ye were no match for the goddess
And was cursed into
the form of a hideous, ugly, eight legged creature,
Sans the beauty and grace,
Which once roamed freely within your bewitching body
Now turned to hatred and ugliness now and forever more.

The Existence of God
I am an atheist and do not believe in the existence of God. After all the only reason God exists is because the early humans, unable to comprehend almost everything around them thought it as a result of supernatural phenomenon. Granted religion answers most of the questions we have like the purpose of life, existence after death etc and this is why people tend to believe it because it explains things which science cannot. But that does not make it correct. But, for argument's sake let us say that for a moment i even entertain the existence of God, where is he when you need him?
In the Old Testament it says that the very purpose on humanity's existence was to praise God and that he created us for that very purpose. The Bible also mentions that whatever happens in our life is part of 'God's plan'. So if you murder somebody and go to prison for the rest of your life you know who to blame. And in Greek and Roman mythology, the Gods seem closer to humans in the terms of betrayal and general immoral human qualities like Zeus tricking Hades into becoming the God of the Underworld. Overall even if God exists, he doesn't give a damn about us. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. So at the end of the day, even if you believe God and pray to what is the advantage?sucking up to him/her in the hopes of a better life?
In closing I would like to state that God may or may not exist and there is no scientific evidence to prove or contradict his existence. So in the end it boils down to what you believe.

Love
Introduction
I never got love. Look what it did to Troy. I try to act as robotic as possible but it is not easily to succumb to human desires without self conflict of interest. But as humans it is almost near impossible to get rid of our human nature. I wrote this poem as a tribute to channel my human emotions.Poem
We were not born of the same womb
But like Romeo and Juliet, destined for each other
Then somewhere along the line you thought we were not meant for one another
and left me stranded in the desert plain
My heart is like a flower,
It blooms and blossoms in your awestruck company
But withers and dyes without your santuary

The Bird of Paradise
Fly, fly thou winter bird
for ye the sign of liberation
And Aphrodite herself as opposed to the works of man,
growing more beautiful each day
I always thought it morally wrong
to lock you up in a cage
When your first, true and main desire
Was to boldly spread your beautiful wings
against the golden sun
And suddenly take off like fire
bravely, swiftly and steadily flying
Into eternity
for ye the sign of liberation
And Aphrodite herself as opposed to the works of man,
growing more beautiful each day
I always thought it morally wrong
to lock you up in a cage
When your first, true and main desire
Was to boldly spread your beautiful wings
against the golden sun
And suddenly take off like fire
bravely, swiftly and steadily flying
Into eternity
Introduction
This is a blog about the various poems i have written and my general outlook towards life.My friend urged me to start a blog and i am writing this as a result of her persuation.I never grasped the concept of blogs.People say its a place where you can vent your feelings and frustrations but isn't that what friends are for?But for my friend's sake i am trying this out. After all it is the 'in' thing.
As you can guess from the name i am a pessimist and do not believe in optimism because in my opinion, there is no good way of looking at life; at every turn there are always problems. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. And where is God when you need him?
